1. About these terms

These terms apply to all quotations, supply and installation work by Royal Décor & Turfs (Pty) Ltd (registration number 2019/240943/07). Your signed quotation forms part of our agreement; if it differs from these terms, the quotation applies. Nothing in these terms limits your rights under the Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008.

2. Quotations

• Quotations are priced per square metre and are based on the measurements and site conditions at the time of quoting.
• Unless stated otherwise, a quotation is valid for 30 days.
• Items such as edging, site preparation and travel and transport are shown separately on the quotation.
• If the site conditions or the area change once work starts (for example unexpected rubble, rock or drainage problems), we will explain and agree any extra cost with you before continuing.

3. Deposits and payment

• A 60% deposit is required to confirm your booking and order materials.
• The balance is payable on completion of the installation, unless otherwise agreed in writing.
• Products remain the property of Royal Décor & Turfs until paid for in full.

4. Installation

• We will agree an installation date with you. Dates may move because of weather, stock availability or site access, and we will keep you informed.
• Please make sure the area is accessible and tell us about any underground pipes, irrigation, cables or other services before work starts. We are not responsible for damage to services we were not told about.
• Installations are either soil-based or glued onto concrete or tiles, as described in your quotation.

5. Product warranties

Our artificial grass carries the manufacturer’s warranty below, which covers manufacturing defects such as excessive UV fading or fibre loss under normal use. Any workmanship guarantee on the installation is stated on your quotation.

Warranties do not cover damage caused by:

• fire, hot coals, fireworks, cigarettes or heat reflected from windows and other surfaces;
• chemicals, solvents, oil or fuel spills;
• sharp objects, vehicles, furniture dragged across the surface, or deliberate damage;
• floods, subsidence or other ground movement;
• alterations or repairs by anyone other than Royal Décor & Turfs, or a lack of reasonable care and maintenance.

6. Cancellations

If you cancel after paying your deposit, we may keep a reasonable amount to cover materials already ordered or cut for your project and work already done, as allowed by the Consumer Protection Act. The rest of your deposit will be refunded.

7. Liability

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under South African law.

8. Using this website

• Information on this website is for general guidance. Product details, colours and availability may change; your quotation is the final description of what we will supply.
• Some images on this website are illustrations of the kind of results we deliver and may be digitally created. Photographs of completed projects are our own work.
• The content, logo and design of this website belong to Royal Décor & Turfs and may not be copied without permission.
• How we handle your personal information is explained in our Privacy Policy.

9. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa.
